What is the TRAVELER’S Plastic Sheet 2025?

It is a thin plastic mat, sold in Regular and Passport sizes, that you slide behind a TRAVELER’S notebook page. Traveler’s Company says it lets you write standing up, serves as a bookmark that opens the book at that page, and gives you a straight edge.

The 2025 edition’s front carries the LOVE AND TRIP theme, which Traveler’s Company describes as love songs, flowers and doves. Yoseka sells it under the name “underlay”.

Does it fit a Regular notebook?

Yes: at 106 mm wide it is 4 mm narrower than the 110 × 210 mm Regular refill page. The sheet’s 210 mm length matches the page height, so it doesn’t stick out above or below a refill. See our TRAVELER’S notebook Regular guide for the refill sizes.

For the smaller cover, Traveler’s Company sells a Passport-size sheet; see the Passport size guide.

What do you use it for?

Three jobs, all from Traveler’s Company’s own description: a firm surface, a bookmark and a ruler. Slide it behind the page you’re writing on and you get a flat surface even when you hold the notebook in the air.

Left between pages, it marks your place. Flip it over and the grid back guides straight lines when you draw or rule a table.

What changed in later years?

Traveler’s Company makes a new limited design every year. The 2026 sheet carries THE TRAVELER’S SPIRIT theme. Designphil’s August 19, 2026 press release lists the 2027 Regular sheet at 210 × 106 × 1 mm in PP, with a 5 mm grid and 20 cm scale on the back, for ¥528 (about US$3.30) with tax; the Passport size is 124 × 85 × 1 mm for ¥484 (about US$3.10).

Those are 2027 figures, but Yoseka’s 2025 size matches them, so the format looks unchanged. We haven’t confirmed the 2025 material or grid spacing.

What is on the grid back?

A square grid that doubles as a ruler. Traveler’s Company says the back is a grid “for use when drawing straight lines”. For the 2027 sheet, Designphil gives the details: 5 mm squares and a 20 cm scale on the Regular size, a 10 cm scale on the Passport size.

We haven’t confirmed that the 2025 grid uses the same 5 mm spacing, and the drawing above is only an approximation.

How much does the 2025 sheet cost?

It falls in our $$ band ($5–20). Yoseka listed the Regular size at US$5.80 on November 1, 2026. We found no Japanese price for the 2025 sheet.

Who is the TRAVELER’S Plastic Sheet for?

It suits TRAVELER’S notebook users who write on the go and want a firm surface under thin refill paper. It pairs with the other yearly items such as the Customized Sticker Set, and the Brass Ruler is a sturdier straight edge.

What are the downsides?

The design is limited to 2025, and the details we need, material and origin, aren’t stated. The grid back is also a simple ruling, not a printed planner. Check that any 2025 stock you find is Regular, not Passport.

Where is it made?

Traveler’s Company doesn’t state a country of origin for the 2025 sheet. The brand is from Japan, made by Designphil Inc. in Tokyo.
