Diamine's history page says it makes its inks at its own facility near Aintree Racecourse, on the edge of Liverpool. Diamine's own shop had not listed the 2026 calendar when we checked on October 22, 2026. Source. Price: example listing. Released: UK retailers opened pre-orders in June and July 2026 and expected stock in mid-to-late October 2026.

What is the Diamine Inkvent Calendar 2026?
It’s Diamine’s 2026 fountain pen ink advent calendar, the Burgundy Edition, with a new ink behind each of 25 doors. Diamine, the Liverpool-area ink maker, puts out a new Inkvent each year in a different coloured box; the 2025 calendar was the Teal Edition.
Every ink in it is new to Diamine’s range. The Journal Shop says the colours were developed for this release and aren’t sold elsewhere in the range.
What’s inside the 2026 Inkvent?
Twenty-four 12 ml bottles, one 30 ml bottle, a set of swatch cards and a Diamine collectible. The 30 ml bottle sits behind door 25, for Christmas Day. Goulet and Hunter Paper Co say the swatch cards and the extra door are new for 2026.

What ink types and colours does it have?
Ten kinds of ink, from plain standard colours to shimmering pigments. Dromgoole’s and Hunter Paper Co list standard, sheen, extreme sheen, shimmer, shimmer & sheen, shimmer & scent, chameleon, pigment, pigment shimmer and pigment chameleon. Goulet’s list says “scented” rather than “shimmer & scent”.
The Online Pen Company published all 25 colour names, from Dew Drop and Strawberry Glaze to Figgy Pudding and Russet Fox. It doesn’t say which door holds which, so the order stays a surprise.
Are the inks waterproof?
Only the pigment ones. Retailers say all of its pigment inks, including the pigment shimmer and pigment chameleon inks, are permanent, waterproof and lightfast.
The rest are dye-based and wash out like Diamine’s standard inks, such as Diamine Oxblood. Shimmer and pigment inks have particles in them, so flush the pen more often and don’t leave them drying in a pen you rarely use.
How much does it cost, and where can you buy it?
It sits in our $$$$ band, over $75, at US pen shops. In the UK, The Journal Shop, Cult Pens and The Online Pen Company list it at £99 (about US$131).
In the US we found it at Goulet, Dromgoole’s, Goldspot, Pen Boutique and The Paper Mouse. On October 22, 2026, Goulet had it in stock; Atlas Stationers and some other sellers showed it backordered or sold out.
Diamine’s own UK shop still showed the 2025 Teal Edition and hadn’t listed the 2026 calendar when we checked that day.
Is it a good gift?
Yes, for anyone who already uses a fountain pen with a converter or refillable cartridges. A 12 ml bottle is about 15 fills of a 0.8 ml converter, enough to get to know a colour.

The brand dates to 1864. Diamine sells colours from earlier calendars later as 50 ml bottles, so a favourite from this year may come back in a larger size.

They're made for fountain pens, but the shimmer and pigment inks need more care than standard ink. Flush pens more often with those and avoid leaving them to dry in a pen you rarely use.
