What are isshoni. index sticky notes?

They are cream sticky notes on a clear backing that slides into a page, so the pad works as an index tab or bookmark. Daigo of Osaka makes them for its isshoni. line for office workers, which our DAIGO story covers. Daigo says the backing suits any stationery and has a ruler along its side for measuring small things.

Yoseka sells the same product as the Bookmark Sticky Note. The names differ by shop, but the barcodes and codes match.

What sizes and sheet counts do they come in?

Two sizes: the Mini and the longer Stick, which Yoseka calls Vertical. The backing sizes are Maruzen Junkudo’s and bungu.store’s; the note sizes are Yoseka’s.

Yoseka gives the Stick backing as 185 × 51 mm, a millimeter more than Maruzen and bungu.store. We use Maruzen’s figures and can’t say which is exact.

What layouts are there?

Six: three Mini and three Stick. The Mini comes as grid, to do and assorted; the Stick as daily, to do and assorted. Their codes run S2434 to S2439, and Daigo shows the Mini grid and the Stick daily in red, the to-do sets in blue and the assorted sets as mixed colors.

Maruzen says the Stick daily helps you log a day’s plans by the hour. Its Stick assorted mixes five kinds of note, so a large note for a message and a small one for a marker share one backing.

How does the ruler backing work?

You slide the backing between pages, and the notes stay in view like a tab. Daigo says the clear backing goes into the page as an index. Maruzen adds that it works in place of a bookmark, and that the ruler is handy for measuring something small.

bungu.store describes the backing as hard polypropylene. Our sketch above shows the idea; the shops don’t say which side of the backing carries the ruler.

Can you refill the backing?

Only bungu.store says so. It says the Mini backing takes commercially available sticky notes of the same size after the originals are gone. Daigo, Yoseka and Maruzen don’t mention refills.

A 75 × 50 mm note is close to the 3 × 2 in size other brands sell, but check the fit before you buy.

Which should you choose, the Mini or the Stick?

In our view, the Mini for a pocket notebook or a diary, and the Stick for a day’s schedule in a tall planner. By our arithmetic the Mini’s 114 mm backing is shorter than an A6 page (148 mm) and the Stick’s 184 mm is about the height of a B6 page (182 mm). Daigo gives no fit list, so measure your cover.

Where are they made, and what do they cost in the US?

In Japan, per Maruzen Junkudo. Daigo’s page, Yoseka and bungu.store don’t state it.

Yoseka listed each Mini and Stick set at US$5.00 on October 28, 2026, in our $$ band ($5–20). Maruzen Junkudo listed ¥440 (about US$2.80) for the Mini and ¥495 (about US$3.10) for the Stick, and bungu.store ¥900 (about US$5.70) and ¥1,000 (about US$6.30).

Is an index sticky note the same as a bookmark sticky note?

Yes. Daigo and bungu.store call it index sticky notes; Yoseka calls the Mini and the Stick the Bookmark Sticky Note in Mini and Vertical sizes. The product codes are the same.

Can you reuse the backing?

bungu.store says the Mini backing accepts ordinary sticky notes of the same size after you use up the originals. Daigo and Yoseka don't say so, so we haven't confirmed it.

How long is the ruler?

Daigo says 8 cm on the Mini and 14 cm on the Stick. None of the shops we checked says which side it is on.

What is on the notes themselves?

Daigo says cream paper with orange rules. Yoseka calls the paper cream and says it writes smoothly with all kinds of pens; we haven't tested that.

How many sheets come in an assorted set?

Yoseka lists 80 sheets in the Mini assorted, 20 sheets in each of four colors, and 150 in the Stick assorted, 30 sheets in each of five colors.

Do they work on a monthly planner page?

They stick to ordinary paper like any sticky note. Because they are paper, they hide what is under them, unlike Daigo's see-through film notes.

Are the notes the same as the film sticky notes?

No. The film notes are translucent PET with a dotted grid; the index notes are cream paper on a clear ruler backing.
