What are isshoni. film sticky notes?

They are see-through sticky notes made of thick PET film, designed to go on top of a calendar or planner page without covering it. JetPens says that because the notes are translucent, they don’t hide any text underneath. Daigo of Osaka makes them for its isshoni. line for office workers, which our DAIGO story covers.

Maruzen Junkudo describes them as index-style notes: you write a heading on the strip at the top and let them stick out of a notebook’s edge, so important tasks stay in view.

What sizes do they come in?

Three: Large, Small and Round. The figures below come from JetPens (Large), Yoseka and Jenni Bick (Small) and bungu.store and Yoseka (Round).

Size Note Sheets per pack
Large 49 × 40 mm (1.9 × 1.6 in) 30 (10 in each of 3 colors)
Small 28 × 29 mm (1.1 × 1.1 in) 50 (20 + 20 + 10)
Round 24.5 mm (1.0 in) across 60 (10 in each of 6 designs)

Maruzen lists a pack of the Large at 120 × 68 × 2 mm (4.7 × 2.7 in), which is the packaging. There are two Large designs: a free-heading version (S2382 red, S2383 blue) and a preprinted-caption version Yoseka and Jenni Bick list (S2468, S2469).

What are they made of, and which pen works?

Thick PET film, so use a pencil or an oil-based marker. Maruzen says the PET is folding-resistant and thick; Jenni Bick says it is 100 μ PET and that pencil on it can be erased and rewritten.

JetPens recommends a pencil or oil-based marker because the film is water-resistant, and Jenni Bick says gel or water-based pens may need extra drying time. Yoseka’s listing calls the material vellum paper and advises pencil or ballpoint, which disagrees with the others.

What is the grid for?

It helps you write neatly or draw a small diagram. JetPens and Jenni Bick both describe a subtle 2.5 mm dotted grid with a blank strip at the top for a heading.

At 2.5 mm, a Large note has about 20 columns of dots across its 49 mm width, by our count.

Which size should you pick?

Match the note to the space you have. In our view, the Large suits a heading and a short task on a weekly page, the Small suits a date cell on a monthly calendar, and the Round suits marking one day or one item. Measure your calendar’s cell against 28 × 29 mm before you buy.

Because the notes are see-through, you can place one directly over a printed date and still read it. A paper note, by JetPens’ account, would hide whatever lies under it.

Are there special editions?

Yoseka lists a Yoseka x DAIGO isshoni. film note, in Small and Large, with a special design. Its page gives an online release of late December 2026 and a price of US$9.50 for the Small, which is why we don’t count it with the regular packs. The regular Large also comes as a captioned version, with preprinted tabs such as “Don’t forget!” and “here” per Yoseka.

Where are they made?

In Japan, per Maruzen Junkudo, The Journal Shop and Jenni Bick. Daigo’s own page doesn’t state it, and none of the shops names the factory.

How much do they cost and where can you buy them in the US?

US shops listed them from about US$6 to US$8 per pack on October 28, 2026, in our $$ band ($5–20). JetPens listed US$6.25 for the Large, Small and Round; Yoseka US$6.00; Jenni Bick US$8.

The Journal Shop priced a pack at £5.50 (about US$7.30), and Maruzen Junkudo listed ¥550 (about US$3.50) with tax. One JetPens reviewer, the only one, liked the material but said the notes didn’t stay where they put them.

Frequently asked questions

It is slow to dry. JetPens says the film is water-resistant and recommends a pencil or oil-based marker; Jenni Bick says gel or water-based pens may need extra drying time.

Are the notes reusable?

Jenni Bick calls them repositionable, and The Journal Shop says they reposition cleanly. One JetPens reviewer, in September 2026, said they don't stay where you put them.

Are they paper or film?

Film: Maruzen Junkudo, JetPens, The Journal Shop and Jenni Bick list PET. Yoseka's listing calls the material vellum paper, so check the pack you buy.

What is the grid on the notes?

A 2.5 mm dotted grid, per JetPens and Jenni Bick, with a blank strip at the top for a short heading.

How many sheets are in a pack?

30 in the Large (10 in each of three designs), 50 in the Small and 60 in the Round (10 in each of six). The Small is 20 + 20 + 10, per Jenni Bick.

What colors do the film notes come in?

JetPens sells cool (blue, green, purple) and warm sets, Yoseka lists red and blue Large packs, and the Round has six designs. Daigo's pack codes differ by color.

Do they stick to the screen of a laptop?

We haven't tested that. Daigo's roll notes, not the film notes, are the ones its isshoni. page recommends for computers.
