Officecrave’s description adds that the tip is tough and resilient and that the fine point doesn’t fray. We couldn’t read Sharpie’s own page, so the tip size is the retailer’s figure.
How fine is the Sharpie Metallic line?
Officecrave lists 0.5 mm, roughly half the about 1 mm line of the regular Sharpie Fine Point. That’s fine enough for signatures and small lettering, though not for tiny writing.

We haven’t measured the real line yet; the hands-on slot below covers it on four surfaces.
How is it different from a regular Sharpie?
The ink: a regular Sharpie’s ink isn’t opaque, so it barely shows on black, while the Metallic’s ink is. The two share the capped Sharpie format and the permanent, quick-drying promise, but they solve different problems.

If you mostly write on white paper, the regular Fine Point or the slimmer Sharpie Pen is the better buy. Keep a Metallic for the dark pages, envelopes and labels that a black marker can’t mark. To add sparkle over a finished drawing instead, the clear-ink Sun-Star LAMECO glitter marker leaves only glitter.
What colors and packs are there?
Silver is the best seller, in 2- and 4-packs; assorted metallic packs and a chisel-tip set are sold too. Amazon US lists a 6-count assorted Fine Tip pack and a 3-count chisel-tip assortment alongside the silver packs.
The 4-pack of silver is the cheaper way to stock up if you sign or label a lot. The assorted packs suit cards and crafts where you want more than one metallic color.
Sharpie Metallic vs POSCA and Sharpie Creative Marker: which should you choose?
Choose the Sharpie Metallic for quick signatures and labels with no setup; choose a paint marker for big, flat, fully opaque color.
POSCA’s valve has to be pumped to start the ink flowing, per Mitsubishi Pencil. The Sharpie is ready as soon as you uncap it.
Where is the Sharpie Metallic made?
In the United States, according to the Officecrave spec sheet for item 39108PP. Sharpie is a Newell Brands company, and our Sharpie Fine Point guide notes that Newell makes most Sharpies in Maryville, Tennessee.
Sharpie’s own product page was behind a bot check when we tried it, so we couldn’t confirm the origin there.
