Key takeaways
Kobeha lists orissi at 105 × 74 mm (A7) with 60 sheets, a matte polypropylene cover, top glue binding and micro-perforation on every sheet.

What is the Kobeha orissi check memo pad?
It is a small memo pad for lists whose left edge is cut into paper tabs you fold over to tick off each line. Kobeha, the stationery label of Daiwa Shuppan Printing in Kobe, says the idea began with shoppers forgetting things on a shopping list.
Kobeha files it under daily-use stationery and sells it in five colors named after foods. We read its English site and its Japanese online shop on November 2, 2026. For another small notebook from the same label, see our GRAPHILO A5 grid notebook guide.
How do the fold tabs work?
Write the list on the ruled lines, then fold the tab beside each finished line. Kobeha prints 7 mm ruled lines in ink close to the paper color and gives each line a triangular tab on the left edge. A folded tab means done and an unfolded tab means still to do, so you can see what is left at a glance.
Kobeha says the folding needs no pen, which matters in a shop where your hands are busy with a basket. It shaped the pad so one hand can hold it and a finger can fold a tab. Each sheet has micro-perforation, so you can tear off the page and carry it in a wallet or stand it against a keyboard.
What are the size, sheets and cover like?
A7, 60 sheets, with a matte white cover. Kobeha lists the pad at 105 × 74 mm (4.1 × 2.9 in) and 60 sheets.

Not stated
Kobeha says the vinyl-reinforced cover resists water, dirt and scratches. It doesn’t give paper weight, and we haven’t tested the paper or how clean the sheets tear.
What colors does it come in?
Five, named after foods: carrot, lemon, rucola, water and lavender. The cover is white in every color; what changes is the colored paper inside, which Kobeha says is two layers per color. The edges show those layers.
The swatches in Product facts are approximate tints we read from Kobeha’s photo of the pad edges, not measurements.
Did orissi win the Good Design Award?
Kobeha says it did, in 2012. Its shop page and its company history both give the notice, and it says the tab line is also the motif of the orissi logo. We couldn’t check Japan’s design award list from here, so we treat it as Kobeha’s claim.
Who is the orissi check memo pad for?
It suits people who keep short shopping or task lists and like to see what is left without a pen.
Everyday writing: Kobeha files orissi under Daily Use Stationery and lists it at ¥396 (about US$2.51) with tax.
Journaling and planning: it has 60 sheets with 7 mm ruling and one fold-over tab per line, per Kobeha.
Skip it if you want a pad for long notes or a refillable system: it is a 60-sheet, glue-bound A7 pad.
How does it differ from the memot pad?
memot is the plain sibling: the same A7 size and 60 sheets, but a 3 mm grid and no tabs. Kobeha calls memot its ordinary memo pad and says the two are meant to be used together, in matching colors. memot’s shop price was ¥297 (about US$1.88) with tax on November 2, 2026.
In Japan, per Kobeha’s shop page, and at ¥396 (about US$2.51) with tax there on November 2, 2026. That is in our $ band (under $5). The shop is in Japanese.
We found no US retailer price. Yoseka Stationery’s Kobeha collection held GRAPHILO notebooks and no orissi that day, so a US buyer may need a Japanese shop or a forwarder. Prices change; check before you order.
60, per Kobeha's shop page. Each sheet has its own micro-perforation.
Do you need a pen to check items off on orissi?
No. You write the list, then fold the triangular tab beside a finished line. Kobeha designed the pad so one hand can hold it and a finger can fold a tab.
Do the sheets tear off cleanly?
Kobeha says each sheet has micro-perforation so it tears off smoothly. We haven't tested how clean the tear is.
Is the orissi memo pad waterproof?
Only the cover is described that way: Kobeha says the outer surface is reinforced with vinyl against water, dirt and scratches. It makes no claim about the pages.
What is the difference between orissi and memot?
Kobeha calls memot its ordinary memo pad and orissi's younger sibling. memot is also A7 with 60 sheets and the same five colors, but it has a 3 mm grid and no tabs.
Can you refill orissi?
Kobeha lists no refill. It is a glue-bound pad, bound at the top, that you use up.
Can you buy orissi in the US?
