What is the TRAVELER’S notebook 008 Zipper Case?
It’s a clear PVC insert that turns a TRAVELER’S notebook Regular into a wallet as well as a notebook. One half is a zip pocket; the other half is an open pocket.
Traveler’s Company suggests the zip side for paper scraps such as tickets and receipts, and even keys and coins, and the open side for photos, cut-out maps and postcards you collect on a trip. Because it’s clear, you can see what’s inside without opening it.

How do you put it in the notebook?
Slip it in with a refill, on the outside of the refill, under the same elastic band. That’s how Traveler’s Company describes it: the case wraps around the refill so its two pockets sit at the front and back of the notebook.
If you’d rather keep it separate, hang it on its own with a connecting rubber band, the same way you add a second refill. The case is thin, but a pocket full of coins makes the notebook bulge, so it works best for flat things.
What fits in the pockets?
Anything flat that fits a half of about 117 × 217 mm: tickets, receipts, cards, photos and postcards. Traveler’s Company names tickets, receipts, keys and coins for the zip side, and photos, cut-out maps and postcards for the open side.
By size alone, a 3.5 × 2 in (89 × 51 mm) business card, a 4 × 6 in (102 × 152 mm) postcard standing upright and a passport (88 × 125 mm) all fit within one half’s outline. Traveler’s Company doesn’t publish the pocket depth or the zip opening, so check bulky items in person.
Keep sharp-edged keys and heavy coin stacks to a minimum: they press through to the refill pages, and coins add weight to a notebook made to be light.
