Country of manufacture not stated: MeePlus says it is based in Hong Kong and that each binder is handmade to order in its own leather studio, but no page we read names the country where the studio works (read October 26, 2026). The leathers are Italian (Pueblo from Badalassi Carlo, Buttero from Conceria Walpier, Margot Fog from Virgilio, Tempesti) or British (Bridle from Sedgwick & Co), and MeePlus says the rings are by Krause of Germany. What is MeePlus?

MeePlus is a small leather-goods company in Hong Kong that makes slim ring binders, sold as the SlimPad, plus refills and accessories for them. Its About page says a couple founded it in 2023; one of them had run a ten-person leather workshop before they switched to planners.

It sells direct from its own store, mee-plus.com, and makes each binder to order, shipping within 14 days. We found no official Amazon store. MeePlus also makes a top-opening Mini Reporter binder, which uses three-hole standard rings rather than Krause.

Sizes and ring options come from the size guide on MeePlus’s SlimPad pages; hole counts from its size diagram. The ranges cover the ring choices: MeePlus says a 16 mm binder is a few millimetres wider than an 11 mm one. MeePlus also lists special sizes (True A6, FCC, Personal Wide and a 110 mm A5 Narrow).

Which refills fit a MeePlus binder?

Standard six-hole pages in the matching size: Personal takes Filofax Personal and PLOTTER Bible pages, and A5 takes any six-hole A5. MeePlus says hole spacing is standard across brands, so the real limit is whether the page fits inside the cover.

How many pages do 11 mm rings hold?

MeePlus says its 11 mm Personal binder holds about 110 thin sheets or 50 thick ones, and the 16 mm binder about 200 thin or 90 thick. Its thin paper copies the Tomoe River process; its thick paper is 120 g/m².

Philofaxy’s reviewer fitted all 100 sheets of Tomoe River paper on 11 mm A5 rings. A year of the reviewer’s own 80 gsm week-on-two-pages diary filled them but turned stiffly; on 16 mm rings it fitted with room to spare.

What is the SlimPad made of?

A single layer of vegetable-tanned leather around a metal spine plate and a Krause ring mechanism, with no pockets, pen loop or strap as standard. Philofaxy measured the leather at about 1.85 mm thick.

The standard spine is stainless steel with nickel-plated rings; gold-plated or raw brass cost extra. A black ring protector is included. An elastic band, pen holder or card holder is an add-on.

How much does a MeePlus SlimPad cost?

Every size is in our $$$$ band (over $75), before refills. On October 26, 2026 MeePlus’s store listed the Pueblo SlimPad at US$99 for Mini, US$109 for Pocket, US$139 for Personal or Narrow and US$199 for A5.

Buttero and Margot Fog started at US$109, Tempesti at US$119 and British Bridle at US$129, with larger size surcharges for Bridle. MeePlus says its prices include import duties and VAT for the countries it ships to.

How does the SlimPad compare with PLOTTER and Filofax?

The SlimPad follows the same idea as the PLOTTER Leather Binder: a thin leather wrap on small Krause rings. The Personal SlimPad and the PLOTTER Bible share a 95 mm page, but MeePlus offers 13 and 16 mm rings as well as 11 mm, and ships direct from Hong Kong.

It suits people who want a thin, light leather binder and carry only current pages. Philofaxy's reviewer, who was sent two A5 samples, found both lay flat from new and fitted Krause rings. The trade-off is capacity: 11 mm rings hold far fewer sheets than a Filofax.

What size inserts fit a MeePlus A5 binder?
