It also lists an iPad Mini, a Kindle and an iPhone in the back pocket. The internal elastic cords hold up to six thin notebooks.
Is waxed canvas a good material for a journal cover?
It’s tough and water resistant, and Lochby says it’s easy to care for, but it isn’t waterproof. Lochby’s materials page says it moved from military nylon to waxed canvas for a natural feel that ages well, and that the canvas cleans with a damp cloth.
Over time you may need to rewax it with a fabric wax bar to keep the water resistance, Lochby says. It’s also vegan, unlike a leather cover such as the Galen Leather A5 folio.
How does it compare with other notebook covers?
It carries more notebooks than a traveler’s-style cover, in canvas instead of leather.
