What are the Hobonichi TSUKI no IRO Index Stickers?
They’re small tab stickers that turn the Hobonichi Techo’s month tabs into colored, numbered markers you can find with the book closed. They belong to TSUKI no IRO, Hobonichi’s stationery series built on the 12 soft “month colors” (月の色) of the Original, Cousin and HON planners.
The set has two sheets: one numbered 1 to 12 and one plain. On October 22, 2026, the Amazon US listing showed 300+ bought in the past month.

The two Hobonichi stores disagree on size and weight. We use the Japanese figure, which Amazon US repeats; the English one may include the backing card.
How do you use the index stickers?
Stick each numbered tab so its clear end covers the month tab on that month’s first daily page. The colored part then sticks out past the page edge. Hobonichi says the twelve line up neatly this way and fit the Cousin’s tabs exactly.
- Open to the first daily page of the month.
- Peel the matching number and lay the clear end over the printed tab.
- Press it down, then close the book to check it doesn’t stick out too far.
Use the plain tabs anywhere else: a project page, the yearly index or the memo pages at the back. Hobonichi says the firm PET is easy to flip by and the compact size doesn’t stick out much.
Which Hobonichi planners do they fit?
Hobonichi only promises an exact fit on the Cousin; on other sizes, you’ll place them by eye. We haven’t yet checked how the numbered tabs line up on the Original’s or the Weeks’ pages.
On the Hobonichi Cousin, whose daily pages carry month tabs, the numbered set matches the book’s own colors. On the Hobonichi Techo Original, the plain sheet is the safer choice for marking sections.
How are they different from other TSUKI no IRO stickers?
These are tabs for finding your place; the other TSUKI no IRO stickers decorate pages or mark days. The Sticker Set (Schedule) holds labels and icons for plans, and the Transparent Dot Stickers are clear PET dots for color-coding.
| Index Stickers | Transparent Dot Stickers | |
|---|---|---|
| Job | Month tabs on the page edge | Color-coding dots in the grid |
| Material | Matte PET, clear end | Tinted clear PET |
| Sheets | 2, 93 × 82 mm | 2, 126 × 74 mm |
| Japan price | ¥440 (about US$2.80) | ¥440 (about US$2.80) |
All of them use the same twelve month colors, so they match each other and the planner’s own pages.
Where are the index stickers made?
Hobonichi doesn’t say. Neither its Japanese nor its English store page gives a country of manufacture, and the Amazon US listing doesn’t either.
Hobonichi is a Tokyo company best known for the Hobonichi Techo planner. It sold the Index Stickers in both its 2026 and 2027 lineups at the same price.
Frequently asked questions
How do you put Hobonichi index stickers on a Techo?
Lay the clear end of each numbered tab over the month tab on the first daily page of that month, so the colored part sticks out past the edge. Hobonichi says the twelve then line up neatly down the fore edge.
Do the TSUKI no IRO index stickers fit the Hobonichi Cousin?
Yes. Hobonichi says the numbered tabs fit exactly over the tabs of the Cousin's daily pages.
Can you use the index stickers on a Hobonichi Original or Weeks?
They're sold for any Hobonichi Techo, but Hobonichi only says they fit the Cousin exactly. On other sizes, use the plain sheet or place the numbered tabs by eye.
How many stickers come in the TSUKI no IRO index set?
Two sheets: one with 12 tabs numbered 1 to 12, and one with plain tabs. Hobonichi doesn't print a count for the plain sheet.
Are the index stickers paper or plastic?
Plastic: matte PET, which Hobonichi says is firm and easy to flip by. The colored part is opaque and the end is clear.
How much do Hobonichi index stickers cost?
Hobonichi's store lists them at ¥440 (about US$2.80) including tax. Imported in the US they land in our $$ band, $5–20.
Are Hobonichi index stickers made in Japan?
Hobonichi doesn't say on its store pages. It's a Tokyo company, so check the package for the country of manufacture.
