What is the Hobonichi TSUKI no IRO Sticker Set?
It’s a pack of five sticker sheets from Hobonichi for marking plans in a planner: labels, frames, shapes and icons, printed in the TSUKI no IRO colors. TSUKI no IRO (月の色, “colors of the months”) is a Hobonichi stationery series built on the 12 calm monthly colors used in the Original, Cousin and HON books; Hobonichi’s magazine lists eight items in it.
The Schedule set came with the Techo 2026 accessories, and Hobonichi’s store still lists it in the 2027 lineup as TSUKI no IRO シールセット(スケジュール). It sits alongside the same series’ Transparent Dot Stickers, which add small clear color dots rather than words and icons.

What’s on each of the five sheets?
One sheet of text labels, one of frames, one of shapes and two of icons. Hobonichi’s Japanese store describes the five sheets this way:
| Sheet | What it holds |
|---|---|
| 1 | Text stickers with pre-printed words such as LUNCH and HAPPY BIRTHDAY |
| 2 | Frame stickers headed EVENT and IMPORTANT, plus frames for page margins |
| 3 | Shapes: triangles, circles, ribbons, brackets and lines |
| 4–5 | Icons such as presents, food, smiley faces and airplanes |
Hobonichi suggests lining the icons up along the left-hand line of the monthly calendar so a month’s plans read at a glance, and using brackets or lines to span a trip across several days.
Do the stickers fit a Hobonichi Techo?
Yes: the sheets are A6-sized, and Hobonichi says the EVENT and IMPORTANT frames are sized for the Techo Original’s monthly calendar. Placed vertically, it says, they also suit the Hobonichi Weeks. The Original is A6 (105 × 148 mm), so each sheet also slips flat into the back of a Hobonichi Techo Original or its cover.
We haven’t measured the frames against a calendar box ourselves. In a larger planner such as the A5 Cousin, the same stickers simply leave more room around them.
Can you write on TSUKI no IRO stickers?
Yes. Hobonichi describes a smooth, matte surface (さらりとしたマットな質感) that you can write on with a ballpoint and similar pens. A low-smudge ballpoint such as the uni-ball Jetstream is the safe choice on coated sticker paper.
Gel and fountain-pen inks may dry more slowly on any sticker face. We haven’t timed them on this set yet, so try a spare icon before writing on a frame.
How does it compare to other Hobonichi stickers?
The Schedule set is the general-purpose one: more stickers, and words and icons rather than one shape.
| Hobonichi sticker | Sheets | Stickers | What it’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| TSUKI no IRO Sticker Set (Schedule) | 5 | 262 | Labels, frames, shapes, icons |
| Frame Stickers for Dates | 5 | 100 | See-through frames to write dates in |
| TSUKI no IRO Transparent Dot Stickers | 2 | 48 to 576 | Clear color dots |
Choose the frames for undated notebooks, the dots for color-coding, and the Schedule set if you want ready-made words and pictures.
Where is the TSUKI no IRO Sticker Set made?
Luiban lists it as made in Japan. Hobonichi is based in Tokyo; its Japanese and English store pages don’t state the country of manufacture.
