- Made in (Zebra G-750 Retractable Gel Pen (0.7 mm; black barrel 49811, white barrel 49801)): Not stated. Zebra Pen's US product pages for the G-750 don't state a country of manufacture, and the retailer spec sheets we tried (OnTimeSupplies, Office Crave, Blue Dog Ink) blocked our requests, so none could be read. The Zebra brand is from Japan.

### Zebra G-750 Retractable Gel Pen (0.7 mm; black barrel 49811, white barrel 49801) colors

- Body colors (2 standard, 1 special edition): Black; White; Pearl White (special edition).

Shops stock different colors; check the listing.

## Key takeaways

- Zebra Pen sells the G-750 in one size, 0.7 mm, with black ink, and describes a weighted, balanced brass barrel with a knurled grip.

- It takes Zebra's JK refill, sold in 0.5 and 0.7 mm in black and blue as a 2-pack for US$2.94 (checked November 3, 2026).
- Zebra Pen listed the black G-750 at US$13.94 and the limited-edition Pearl White at US$9.99 on November 3, 2026.
- Zebra calls the G-750 a step up from its 3- and 4-series metal pens and slightly longer than the G-450.

## What is the Zebra G-750?

**The G-750 is Zebra's premium retractable gel pen, with a weighted brass barrel, a hexagonal upper barrel and a knurled grip.** Zebra Pen, the company's US arm, calls it "the top of its class" and "the definition of everyday premium", and places it a step up from its 3-series and 4-series metal pens. It writes with 0.7 mm black rapid-dry gel ink and is sold in a black or a white barrel, plus a limited-edition Pearl White.

It arrived late in the US. A reviewer wrote in March 2021 that it was "finally available for order in the USA, after understandable delays from a planned summer 2020 launch". The Pen Addict reviewed it in July 2022 beside the shorter G-450 and called both of them "pretty darn good" continuations of the F-301 family tree.

## What refill does the Zebra G-750 use?

**It takes Zebra's JK refill, which Zebra Pen sells in 0.5 and 0.7 mm, in black and blue.** A 2-pack costs US$2.94 on Zebra Pen's store (checked November 3, 2026), so keeping the pen going costs far less than replacing it. The pen ships with 0.7 mm black ink.

Don't count on other refills. The Pen Addict found the opening for the refill in the barrel narrow, and had a hard time putting a refill back after taking it out. JetPens lists a few 0.5 mm choices, per the same review.

## Is the Zebra G-750 smear-proof?

**Zebra says its rapid-dry gel ink resists smears and smudges, but only "on most surfaces".** Zebra's gift-set page adds that a third-party lab tested the ink for equal or faster dry time than industry leaders on nine common surfaces, which it pitches at left-handed writers. That is Zebra's claim, not our test.

## Does the Zebra G-750 write well?

**The ink is dark and the tip is smooth, according to The Pen Addict, which found no difference in writing performance between the G-750 and G-450 because both use the same refill.** The reviewer liked the stepped nose cone, with four angled steps down to the tip, for the clear view it gives of the tip and the page.

The criticism was the grip: the G-750's knurling is so fine and tight that it "feels smooth", without the grab expected from knurling. The March 2021 reviewer found the pen long and back-weighted, with the balance point about a centimeter behind the top of the grip, so it suits holding the knurled section rather than near the tip.

## How does the G-750 compare to the G-450?

**They are close: the G-750 is slightly longer with a knurled grip, and the G-450 has a rubber grip and is the one The Pen Addict preferred.** Zebra calls the G-750 "slightly longer in length than its sister product G-450", and the review puts the G-450 shorter by just under half an inch.

| | Zebra G-750 | Zebra G-450 |
|---|---|---|
| Grip | Knurled metal | Rubber |
| Upper barrel | Hexagonal | Mostly round (The Pen Addict) |
| Refill | JK, 0.7 mm black | JK, 0.7 mm black |
| Price in July 2022 | US$9.50 (JetPens, per The Pen Addict) | US$7.00 |

For a metal Zebra with a Sarasa gel refill, the [Zebra Sarasa Grand](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/zebra-sarasa-grand/) is the other brass-barrel option, and the [Zebra F-701](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/zebra-f-701/) is the all-metal ballpoint it grew out of.

## Is the Zebra G-750 a good everyday pen?

**It's a good everyday metal pen if you like a heavier gel pen, but at about 140 mm it's full length rather than pocket length.** It has a metal clip, and Zebra's own gift-set page calls out "convenient pocket clip". For a plastic gel pen that costs much less, the [Pilot G2](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/pilot-g2/) is the usual comparison, and our [best gel pens roundup](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/best-gel-pens/) lists the field.

## Where is the Zebra G-750 made?

**Zebra Pen's US pages don't say.** The Zebra brand is from Japan and the maker is Zebra Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, but we couldn't read a retailer spec sheet that states a country of manufacture for the G-750, so we don't give one. See our [Zebra pen history](https://stationerytimes.com/stories/zebra-pen-history/) for the company.

## How much does a Zebra G-750 cost?

**It sits in our $$ band ($5–20 per pen).** Zebra Pen's store listed the black G-750 at US$13.94 and the limited-edition Pearl White G-750LE at US$9.99 on November 3, 2026, and the M-701 and G-750 gift set at US$23.99. The black pen was out of stock on Zebra's store when we checked. The Pen Addict's July 2022 review gave US$9.50 at JetPens.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which refills fit the Zebra G-750?

Zebra's JK refill, per Zebra Pen. It comes as a 2-pack in 0.5 or 0.7 mm, black or blue, for US$2.94 on Zebra Pen's store (November 3, 2026). The Pen Addict warns that the barrel opening is narrow, so other refills are unlikely to fit.

### Is the Zebra G-750 made of brass?

Zebra Pen describes a premium weighted brass barrel, and its G-750LE listing says brass barrel construction. Zebra's main product page also says metal barrel, so the finish over the brass isn't described.

### How heavy and long is the Zebra G-750?

A reviewer weighed one at 29 g and measured about 14 cm retracted in March 2021. Zebra doesn't publish either figure; its store's 32 g shipping weight probably includes packaging.

### What is the difference between the Zebra G-750 and G-450?

The G-750 is slightly longer, per Zebra, and has a knurled metal grip, while the G-450 has a rubber grip. The Pen Addict found the G-450 more comfortable, and the two use the same 0.7 mm black gel ink.

### Does the Zebra G-750 smear?

Zebra says its rapid-dry gel ink, tested by a third-party lab for equal or faster drying than industry leaders on nine common surfaces, resists smears and smudges. The product page adds 'on most surfaces'. We haven't tested it.

### Does the Zebra G-750 come in colors other than black?

Only the barrel changes. Zebra Pen lists a black barrel and a white barrel, plus a limited-edition Pearl White G-750LE, all with black ink in 0.7 mm.

### Is the Zebra G-750 a good gift?

It can be: Zebra Pen sells a gift set of the G-750 and the M-701 mechanical pencil (item 10512) for US$23.99, and the pen's weight and metal body give it an upmarket feel. It is still a pen in the $$ band.

### Is the Zebra G-750 good for left-handed writers?

Zebra pitches its rapid-dry ink at left-handers, saying a third-party lab tested it for equal or faster drying than industry leaders on nine surfaces. We haven't tested it, so treat that as the maker's claim.
