Source: https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/864269/TUL-Discbound-Notebook-Junior-Size-Leather/ ## Key takeaways - Office Depot lists 5.5 × 8.5 in (140 × 216 mm) pages on 8 discs for the Junior; the Letter size takes 8.5 × 11 in pages on 11 discs. - The Junior leather notebook (item 864269, UPC 735854844165) comes with 60 narrow-ruled sheets and is about 3/4 in (19 mm) deep. - Office Depot lists built-in pen and business-card holders, accessory and file pockets, and no closure. - Office Depot's page showed 4.8 stars from 194 reviews, and the black Junior on Amazon US 409 ratings and 200+ bought in the past month, on October 22, 2026. - TUL is Office Depot's own brand; refill pages, dividers and planner inserts are sold separately. ## What is the TUL Discbound Notebook? **It's a refillable notebook whose pages hang on plastic discs instead of a spiral or rings, so any page can be pulled out and moved.** TUL is Office Depot's own brand, which sells it as a "custom note-taking system". The Junior is the half-letter size. On October 22, 2026, Office Depot's page for the black leather Junior showed 4.8 stars from 194 reviews, and the same notebook on Amazon US showed 409 ratings and 200+ bought in the past month. ## TUL Junior leather notebook specs | Spec | Value | |---|---| | Brand · seller | TUL · Office Depot | | Item · maker number | 864269 · ODJRNBK-PU-BK | | Page size | 5.5 × 8.5 in (140 × 216 mm) | | Discs | 8 | | Depth | 3/4 in (19 mm) | | Paper | 60 sheets, narrow ruled, white | | Cover | Leather (Office Depot's listed material), black | | Inside | Pen holder, business-card holder, accessory and file pockets | | Closure | None | | UPC | 735854844165 | | Price band | $$$ ($20–75) | All figures are from Office Depot's product page. Its description also mentions "eleven 3/4 in discs", which matches the Letter size, not the Junior; its own spec table gives 8. ![TUL page sizes drawn to scale: Junior 5.5 × 8.5 in on 8 discs and Letter 8.5 × 11 in on 11 discs](https://stationerytimes.com/images/tul-discbound-notebook-junior-sizes.svg) *Junior and Letter pages at 0.95 px = 1 mm.* ## How does a disc-bound notebook work? **Each page has a row of mushroom-shaped punches along one edge that snap over the rims of the discs.** Pull a page firmly away from the discs and it peels off; press it back on anywhere and it stays. That lets you move a finished project to an archive, add a page in the middle, or swap ruled sheets for planner pages. Because nothing is bound, the notebook can also fold back on itself to write on one side. To add your own paper, you need a disc-bound punch. ## Junior or Letter: which TUL size should you get? **Get the Junior to carry it; get Letter if it lives on a desk or holds printouts.** | | Junior | Letter | |---|---|---| | Page size | 5.5 × 8.5 in (140 × 216 mm) | 8.5 × 11 in (216 × 279 mm) | | Discs | 8 | 11 | | Leather cover item | 864269 | 570513 (brown) | | Best for | Bag, planner, meetings | Desk, class notes, printed sheets | Both sizes are from Office Depot. The Junior is close to an A5 notebook (148 × 210 mm), slightly narrower and taller. ## What refills and accessories fit the TUL Junior? **Office Depot sells Junior-size TUL refills and parts alongside the notebook, so you can turn it into a planner or a project binder.** In its listings on October 22, 2026, we found: - Narrow-ruled Junior refill pages. - Junior tab dividers in assorted colors. - 2027 dated planner refills for Junior: daily, weekly, and weekly/monthly pages. - Other Junior covers, including corduroy and reversible poly covers. Because the system is the same across a size, you can move the pages you've written into a cheaper cover for storage. Office Depot sells all of these as separate items. ## How does TUL compare with other disc-bound systems? **It's the store-brand option: easy to find in person, with refills at the same shop.** [Levenger Circa](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/levenger-circa-leather-notebook/) is the premium disc-bound line with leather covers in several sizes, and the [Happy Planner Classic](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/happy-planner-classic/) uses a larger 7 × 9.25 in page on 9 discs. Office Depot doesn't list compatibility with other brands, so match page size and punch before mixing refills. For a ring-bound alternative in a smaller size, see the [Filofax Domino Soft Personal](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/filofax-domino-soft-personal/), and our [notebook systems comparison](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/notebook-systems-compared/) covers rings, discs and traveler's covers side by side. ## Where is the TUL notebook made? **Office Depot doesn't say.** Its specification table lists Office Depot as the manufacturer and ODP Business Sourcing as the distributor, but no country of manufacture, and the Amazon US listing gives none either. TUL is a US brand owned by Office Depot. Check the packaging for the country of origin. ## Frequently asked questions ### What size is a TUL Junior notebook?
