## Key takeaways

- Midori lists the body at H61 × W61 × D19 mm (2.4 in square, 0.7 in deep) and says it fits a 70 mm (2.8 in) square sticky note.

- The ink is oil-based pigment black, so Midori says water-based markers colored over it won't bleed.

## What is the Midori Paintable Stamp Habit Tracker?

**It's a pre-inked stamp that prints a one-month habit tracker: you write the habit at the top and color in each day you kept it.** Midori, a Designphil brand from Tokyo, sells it as ペインタブルスタンプ 浸透印 ハビットトラッカー柄 (Paintable Stamp, pre-inked, Habit Tracker pattern), item 35392006.

"Paintable" is the point: the black outline is made to be colored over. Midori's photos show a "Let's try it!" banner for the habit's name, the words "habit tracker" and a seven-column grid numbered 1 to 31.

## How do you use the habit tracker stamp?

**Stamp it, write the habit in the banner, then color the box for each day you did it.** Midori suggests stamping it in a notebook, a diary or on sticky notes, and decorating it in your own colors.

Midori says the oil-based ink won't bleed when you color over it with water-based markers, such as a [Zebra Mildliner](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/zebra-mildliner/). It also says it pairs with its えらべる付せん (Selectable sticky notes), which launched with the stamps.

## Will it bleed through planner paper?

**It can on thin paper, so test it first.** Midori warns that drying can be slower, and the ink can spread, depending on the paper.

One JetPens reviewer found the ink bold and smudge-free but said it bleeds through Hobonichi paper, so they stamp on sticky notes instead. That matters for thin-paper planners such as the [Hobonichi Techo](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/hobonichi-techo-original/).

## How does it compare to other Midori stamps?

**The Habit Tracker is a full-size square; Half Size stamps are half as deep, and the rotating stamp prints dates.**

| | Habit Tracker | [Half Size](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/midori-paintable-stamp-half-size/) | [Rotating Date](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/midori-paintable-rotating-date-stamp/) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Body | 61 × 61 × 19 mm | 61 × 30.5 × 19 mm | 104 × 60 × 38 mm |
| Ink | Pre-inked, oil-based | Pre-inked, oil-based | Separate ink pad |
| Prints | One month grid | One small block | Dates and symbols |
| Band | $$ | $$ | $$$ |

For tiny icons instead of a grid, see the [Kodomo no Kao Pochitto6](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/kodomo-no-kao-pochitto6-push-button-stamp/), six small stamps in one stick.

## Is it popular?

**It's one of the most-reviewed pre-inked planner stamps at JetPens, with 41 reviews in a search listing in October 2026.** Midori also gave the design a brown-ink version, Habit Tracker Cat (35694006), in its Soft Color range from May 20, 2026.

We chose it as a top US planner stamp after checking Hero Arts. Hero Arts' own best-selling list on October 21, 2026 was led by a clearance set marked down from US$15.99, followed by seasonal releases, so it gave no clear top seller to write about.

## Where is it made?

**Midori doesn't say for this stamp.** Its Japanese store lists several Half Size Paintable Stamps as made in China, but the Habit Tracker page gives no country, so check the pack.

## How much does it cost?

**It falls in our $$ band ($5–20 per stamp).** Midori's Japanese store lists it at ¥1,078 (about US$6.80) with tax; at launch in 2020 the price was ¥880 (about US$5.60) plus tax.

Yes, that's the point of the Paintable range. Midori says the oil-based ink won't bleed when you color over it with water-based markers.

### How many days does the habit tracker grid have?

Midori's photos show seven columns of numbered boxes from 1 to 31, enough for any month, under a banner where you write the habit.

### What's the difference between this and the Half Size Paintable Stamps?
