Yoseka lists ten Kimama designs, one pack each. The names are Yoseka's; the tint of each is the main color of the pack card in Yoseka's product photo for that design, hand-picked, so treat it as representative. Shops stock different colors; check the listing. ## Key takeaways - Each Kimama pack holds 40 notes: two designs of 20 sheets, one die-cut in an animal shape and one a soft-edged rectangle, per Paperwhisper and Yoseka. - Paperwhisper lists the notes as within 46 mm tall and 60 mm wide on a 139 × 72 mm mount; Yoseka gives the note as about 4.6 × 6 cm (1.8 × 2.4 in). - Yoseka lists ten designs: Rolling Cat, Fluffy Bird, Cake Dog, Rolling Bear, Hamster, Ghosts, Lazy Rabbit, Rice Ball - Dog, Walking Dog and Relaxed Cat. - Paperwhisper lists Kimama as made in Japan; Furukawa Shiko's own site, which we could read on November 2, 2026, doesn't list the product. - Yoseka sells every design in our $$ band ($5–20), and all ten showed as in stock on November 2, 2026. ## What are Furukawa Kimama sticky notes? **They are animal-themed sticky notes from Furukawa Shiko, a paper maker based in Mino, Gifu Prefecture.** Each pack holds two designs of 20 notes. Paperwhisper describes one as a die-cut note shaped like a fluffy animal, with room to write on its round body, and the other as a soft-edged rectangle in soft colors with the animal in a small scene. Yoseka's product photo shows the pack card printed "KIMAMA FUSEN" and "2 designs × 20 sheets", with the Furukawa Shiko copyright line. "Fusen" is the Japanese word for a sticky note. For the maker's washi stickers, see our [Furukawashiko washi flake stickers guide](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/furukawashiko-washi-flake-stickers/). ## Furukawa Kimama sticky note specs | Spec | Value | |---|---| | Brand | Furukawa Shiko (Japan) | | Notes per pack | 40: two designs of 20 sheets | | Note size | Within 46 mm tall × 60 mm wide (Paperwhisper); about 4.6 × 6 cm, 1.8 × 2.4 in (Yoseka) | | Mount size | 139 mm tall × 72 mm wide (Paperwhisper) | | Shapes | One die-cut animal, one soft-edged rectangle | | Made in | Japan (Paperwhisper) | | Adhesive and paper | Not stated by either retailer | | US price band | $$ ($5–20), Yoseka, November 2, 2026 | We read both retailer pages on November 2, 2026. Furukawa Shiko's own site loaded that day but doesn't list Kimama, so every spec here is a retailer's. ## How big are Kimama sticky notes? **Each note fits inside 60 mm wide by 46 mm tall.** Paperwhisper says "within", so the die-cut shape and the rectangle may be smaller than the full box. Yoseka's 4.6 × 6 cm matches. For comparison, a standard 3 × 3 in sticky note is about 76 mm square, so a Kimama note is smaller. ![Two Kimama note shapes, a die-cut animal and a rounded rectangle, drawn inside dashed outlines of the 60 by 46 mm limit at 1 mm = 5 px](https://stationerytimes.com/images/furukawa-paper-kimama-sticky-notes-note-size.svg?v=dcf4bc11) *The two note shapes inside the 60 × 46 mm limit at 1 mm = 5 px; the outlines are drawn by eye. Original illustration made for this guide. © Stationery Times.* The backing the notes ride on is bigger: Paperwhisper gives the mount as 139 mm tall and 72 mm wide, which is the size our cover shows. ## What designs come in the Kimama line? **Yoseka lists ten designs, each a different animal scene.** The names are Yoseka's: Rolling Cat, Fluffy Bird, Cake Dog, Rolling Bear, Hamster, Ghosts, Lazy Rabbit, Rice Ball - Dog, Walking Dog and Relaxed Cat. Each pack card has its own main color, from soft yellow for Cake Dog to a deeper green for Rice Ball - Dog, and the tiles in the fact card above show them. We couldn't find a maker's list to confirm ten is the full line, and the designs on sale elsewhere may differ. Yoseka's listing dates from April 2025. ## How much do Kimama sticky notes cost? **Yoseka listed every design at US$6 on November 2, 2026, in our $$ band ($5–20).** That is about US$0.15 a note across 40 notes. Paperwhisper prices in another currency, so we don't convert it. Yoseka showed all ten designs in stock that day. ## Who are Kimama sticky notes for? **They suit people who decorate journals and planners and want a note with a character on it.** The 60 × 46 mm size is small enough to sit on a planner page, and the die-cut animal gives a shape to write inside. Skip them if you want a pen-friendly, strongly repositionable note, since neither retailer states the paper or adhesive and we haven't tested them. For other options, see our [best sticky notes](https://stationerytimes.com/guides/best-sticky-notes/) roundup. ## Where are Kimama sticky notes made? **Paperwhisper's specification says Made in Japan.** Yoseka doesn't state a country, and the maker's own site doesn't list the product, so we treat Japan as one retailer's statement. Furukawa Shiko's head office is in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, where it works with Mino washi. ## Frequently asked questions ### How many notes come in a Kimama pack? Forty. Paperwhisper lists two designs of 20 pieces, and Yoseka lists 20 sheets of each of two designs. One design is die-cut in an animal shape and the other is a soft-edged rectangle. ### What is the size of one Kimama note? Paperwhisper lists the notes as within 46 mm tall and 60 mm wide, and Yoseka gives about 4.6 × 6 cm (1.8 × 2.4 in). The two retailers agree, and Furukawa Shiko publishes no size we could read. ### What do the two note shapes look like? Paperwhisper says one design is a die-cut note shaped like a fluffy, cute animal, with space to write on its round body. The other is a soft-edged rectangle in soft colors with the animal in a playful scene. ### How many Kimama designs are there? Yoseka lists ten, named Rolling Cat, Fluffy Bird, Cake Dog, Rolling Bear, Hamster, Ghosts, Lazy Rabbit, Rice Ball - Dog, Walking Dog and Relaxed Cat. We haven't found a maker list to confirm that is the full line. ### What does kimama mean? Paperwhisper says the Japanese word means a carefree, unrestrained state, and that the notes aim for the same relaxed, cheerful feel. ### Are Kimama sticky notes made in Japan? Paperwhisper's specification says Made in Japan. Yoseka and Furukawa Shiko's own site don't state a country, so that is one retailer's statement. ### Can you re-stick Kimama notes, or write on them in ink? We can't say. Neither retailer states the adhesive strength, the paper type or a pen recommendation, and we haven't tested them. Try a spare note first. ### What band is a Kimama pack in? Yoseka listed every design in our $$ band ($5–20) on November 2, 2026. ## Sources - [Yoseka Stationery: Furukawa Paper - Kimama - Sticky Notes (about 1.8 × 2.4 in, 20 sheets of each of 2 designs, ten designs, variant stock; read November 2, 2026)](https://yosekastationery.com/products/furukawa-paper-kimama-sticky-notes) - [Paperwhisper: Furukawa Shiko Kimama Sticky Notes, Cake Dog (40 pieces, notes within H46 × W60 mm, mount H139 × W72 mm, Made in Japan, the meaning of kimama; read November 2, 2026)](https://paperwhisper.com/products/furukawa-kimama-sticky-notes-cake-dog) - [Furukawa Shiko (Japan): company site, searched for Kimama and Many Many on November 2, 2026; the product is not listed (company profile: Mino washi, Gifu)](https://furukawashiko.com/)
