Daigo says the front pocket holds papers and postcards. You can also slide a notebook into each inside sleeve, Maruzen says. Maruzen's PVC listing instead says the case is wide enough for a phone or 75 mm notes. We'd treat 10 as a guide at best. Test it with your own pens. ## What colors does it come in? **Eight: pink, blue, beige, white and black, plus clear black, clear blue and clear beige.** Daigo splits them into a clear type and a color type. Shops stock different ones: Jenni Bick listed black, blue, white and pink, and Yoseka's green is its own collaboration edition. ## Does it close, and does it fit other notebooks? **Jenni Bick says a snap button holds it shut and doubles as a book band.** Daigo and Maruzen don't mention one. Daigo says you slide the notebook into the inside sleeve pockets. Jenni Bick adds that any standard A5 notebook, or a textbook, will do. ## Is the leather or canvas cover a better buy? **It depends on what you value; the PVC is the lightest and cheapest.** Daigo's page prices the A5 synthetic leather at ¥3,850 (about US$24) and the A5 canvas at ¥2,915 (about US$18) with tax. Its page says the leather suits business and the PVC suits customizing. Maruzen lists the canvas B6 at 135 g, 200 × 155 × 15 mm and made in China, against 81 g for the PVC B6. Jenni Bick listed the A5 at US$30 on October 28, 2026, in our $$$ band ($20–75). Yoseka listed its green A5 at US$29.50 and B6 at US$27.50. Maruzen Junkudo listed ¥1,650 (about US$10.40) for the A5 and ¥1,540 (about US$9.70) for the B6, and bungu.store ¥3,500 (about US$22) and ¥3,200 (about US$20). Daigo's own ¥1,430 (about US$9.10) is the lowest price we found. ## Frequently asked questions ### Does the cover come with a notebook? No. Jenni Bick says the notebook is not included, and Yoseka sells its green edition as the cover with case only. ### How thick a notebook fits the A5 cover? Jenni Bick says a standard A5 notebook up to about 12 mm thick. Daigo's own Notebook Number A5 is 11 mm thick per Maruzen Junkudo, so it should fit. ### How many colors are there? Eight, per Daigo: pink, blue, beige, white and black, plus clear black, clear blue and clear beige. Shops stock different ones. ### Is the PVC recycled? Daigo, Maruzen Junkudo and Jenni Bick all call it recycled PVC. Daigo says it is an environmentally considerate item. ### Does it close with a button?
